In today’s world, it’s easy to worry about your children. There’s plenty going on to cause a parent to worry or fret.

But worrying won't get you anywhere -- it's not the same as faith -- and God doesn’t want you to worry! He wants you to be confident in His protection and care for your family – in every area of your life and theirs.

Worry is borrowing trouble from tomorrow -- trouble that may not even happen. Worry is believing that God might not be there for you and your children. But He will! And He wants you to trust Him -- to be in faith when it comes to your children.

Is that possible? Yes! God says in Proverbs 18:10 that His Name is a strong tower, and when the righteous run into it, we are SAFE!

God doesn’t want you to worry about anything! Philippians 4:6, 7 (amp) says, “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours….”  That verse says we can bring everything in prayer to God, and then believe that He is working.

And remember, our faith is not in our great ability to pray, or even in our children’s great ability to get it – our faith is in God. He is faithful! He knows just how to speak to your children and minister to them. Bathe your spirit in His Word until you believe it.

I like to believe Colossians 1:9, 10 which says my children are “filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that they walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Here’s what I like to pray over my children if I’m tempted to worry:

“I will not fret, worry, or have any anxiety over anything concerning my children. I bring every concern and care to You in prayer, Father, and I believe You are taking care of it with tender loving care. You flood my heart and mind, and my child’s heart and mind, with peace that passes all understanding.

“I plead the blood of Jesus over my children today. They are protected, sanctified, and made whole. My children are overcomers. They overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil because of the precious blood of Jesus. They are filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; they’ll walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in everything they do, and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
