How to Start a Church or Ministry with FCF

Step 1: Become Ordained

Ordination is an acknowledgment of what God has already done in your life. He anoints and appoints; we simply recognize it. This step is about building a relationship with FCF and committing to the journey ahead. As part of this process, you will need to attend an ordination service.

Step 2: Apply

Once you begin your ordination application, you can also start the affiliate application for your church or ministry. This application provides an overview of your calling and vision. If you are still developing your vision, our leadership team is available to help address spiritual, legal, or practical questions.

At FCF, we believe in the priority of a healthy leader, healthy family, healthy ministry—in that order. During this application process, you will schedule a meeting with an FCF leader. This is not an interview but rather a vision casting call, where we learn about your ministry and how we can best support you.

Step 3: Establishing Your Ministry

Once your application is approved, we guide you through setting up your board and reviewing the FCF bylaws. Our legal team has designed a "fill-in-the-blank" format for the necessary documents, making the process straightforward.

Legal Support: Our attorneys will handle all initial IRS and state filings for you.

Corporate Setup: You will receive a corporate book and seal upon completion of the paperwork.

Ongoing Support: You will have direct access to FCF staff who can answer any questions you may have.

To support your ministry development, FCF provides personalized coaching:

A trained coach to assist in leadership development, board establishment, and ministry structuring.

Three one-on-one coaching sessions per year.

Access to free group coaching opportunities annually.
