Jon Coats was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, while his parents were attending FCF with Pastors Buddy and Pat Harrison. The family lived in Alaska and then Iowa where his father served as an FCF pastor before they moved to Wichita, Kansas, where they attended FCF of South Wichita/Triumphant Faith Center.

At an early age, Jon knew he was called into the ministry. He gave himself fully to that call during his junior year of high school in 1999. Then through an encounter with God at the 1999 youth conference of FCF’s annual Family Church Conference, Jon knew he wanted to give his life to reaching the next generation of FCF.

In 2005, Jon became the full-time youth pastor of Father’s House Church, an FCF church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He started with a handful of students who first grew spiritually and then started reaching out and growing numerically. He also began a ministry called Youth Pastor In A Box, Inc. that helps churches with Spirit- and faith-filled resources to disciple students.

Now as the youth coordinator for FCF Intl, Jon’s passion is to reach and raise the future generations of FCF. Through camps and conferences, coaching and consulting leaders, developing curriculums, and helping to establish the heart for missions in youth ministries, Jon is networking with churches and ministries to help them disciple students and train leaders.

Jon and his wife, Joy, married in 2005 and have two children, JD and Abby. The family resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
