Dear FCF Family,
I thank God for your partnership in the advancement of the Gospel of Christ. The Apostle Paul recognized the importance of partnership and shared a special bond with the church at Philippi. They partnered with him in the furtherance of the Gospel.
I hope that when you read this month’s report you will see how our partnership has advanced the Gospel by equipping and developing believers and ministers in Kenya. In 2014 FCF purchased a laptop and projector for a new Bible School plant in Eldoret, Kenya. Later that year at the Kenya Leadership Summit, I had the opportunity to meet many of the students, most of whom are pastors. I was blessed to hear how the school had affected their lives and their churches. In 2015, Rev. Jonah Shirutsi approached FCF about planting two additional schools, one in Kapsabet and the other in Lodwar. Church Planting and Bible School Planting are a significant part of our global strategy in FCF. We have seen the impact of these Bible School Plants in the ministers who attend. Many have shared with me that they never had any formal training until we planted these schools.
In 2016, we began our second year of support for the Kenya Bible Schools and added a school in Kitale. Jonah now has others helping with the schools, and they travel a circuit operating the schools. We have added Bible Schools in Kaptagat and Cherenganyi, Kenya, and in Tororo, Uganda.
I know Jonah Shirutsi values the impact a Bible School can have in the lives of these ministers. He graduated from a Bible School that FCF missionaries planted in Bungoma, Tanzania, in the late 1980s. We first met Jonah in the fall of 1992 when he was attending that Bible School. He is a wonderful example of the value of Bible School Plants and the training of the next generation of leaders. Our partnership in these Bible Schools plants is changing nations. I recently received a short email from one of our FCF Missionaries in Kenya. Jim Christie shares, “I just wanted to let you know that I am traveling to Uganda with Pastor Jonah and his wife on the 27th. He has asked me to come and teach with him and his wife at the Bible school. Thanks for your prayers as we speak into the lives of these pastors.”
This is one of the finest examples of how our family works together. Our monthly financial partnership assists with administration and travel to each of these Bible Schools. We are partnering with our greatest gifts: the anointing and grace in the lives of our ministers who are touching the lives of our next generation leaders.
Thank you for your partnership in Global Missions. When you partner with our Global Strategy of START, SEND and SUSTAIN, you are making a difference in places like Kitale (Kenya) and Tororo (Uganda).
Together we are advancing the Gospel of Christ and fulfilling the Great Commission to “Reach the World.”
Reaping the Harvest,
