2012 Short-Term Mission Opportunities

We have arranged several short-term team opportunities that are available for the months of July, August and September 2012. If you sense the Lord directing you to get involved in one of these short-term opportunities, don’t hesitate. These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dear Ambassador of Christ,

Jesus said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matt. 9:37). We are grateful for your obedience to partner with FCF to reap the harvest for Jesus Christ.

KAMPALA, UGANDA

Rev. Solomon Mwesige shares the following testimony:

I want to thank God who has given me an opportunity to serve Him at such a time as this. These two months were rewarding in terms of the harvest of souls. We just expanded our church building two months ago, but all the additional space has been filled. We have moved our praise, dance and worship team to have their seats on the pulpit to create space for the believers that are coming in. I will take some time to share about the impact made by the cell group system, the discipleship of our members and not just gathering a crowd. I really thank God for the great harvest of souls. Our target this year is that everyone brings two. We want to triple in size this year, and we are working towards that.

A great harvest of souls is taking place in Uganda.

The school goes well. Our devotions for all kids on Monday, Wednesday and Friday have been well done, taking care of the spiritual lives of the kids. We have also done well academically. It is sweet to see these hundreds of kids sitting and listening to the Word of God. For some this is their only opportunity to hearGod’s Word. Some kids from very challenging spiritual backgrounds. We have Muslims, traditional worshipers, etc. Many of these kids are now involved in ministry since every class gets an opportunity to minister to the rest of the school during their devotion time. Most of them have given their lives to the Lord. Thank God for all those that have supported this school. We do not only help the poor and orphans to get an education, but we also lay a Godly foundation in the lives of these young ones that need us to shape them.
