Spring is in the air in Tulsa, and mission is always in the air here at FCF International. Earlier this month, we sent Rev. Chuck Coggins with his wife, Connie, to Chennai, India, to minister at our Leadership Summit. This is the first meeting we have had for pastors in this region for many years. Fifty pastors and their wives attended the conference. Chuck shared with leaders that “Our God is Able” and also taught about the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Chuck reports, “Connie held a women's conference, teaching on the women of the Bible and was blessed to lead five Hindu ladies to the Lord. We also prayed for many other needs. We just got a report from Beaulah that one of the ladies that Connie prayed for had a lump in her breast. After a doctor’s examination, the lump has now disappeared!” As you may know, our Mission Campaign is focused on Starting, Sending and Sustaining people around the world. In the interest of starting new things, this month we sowed finances into one of FCF’s dynamic young ministers Jon Coats. Jon is developing a curriculum for youth ministry called “Youth Pastor in a Box.” I’ve previewed a segment that is already produced, and, let me tell you, this is great stuff! Youth Pastors are going to love this! And for churches that don’t have a Youth Minister, this curriculum will give them a good start towards reaching, keeping, and developing young people in their churches. Jon has a passion for helping churches build youth ministry. He’s is also building a network of Youth Ministers across the nation. The young people of our nation represent a mission field filled with great opportunity. If you would like to check out Youth Pastor in a Box or connect with Jon, look for him at www.youthpastorinabox.com. Missionaries Craig and Peggy Harvey have been serving in the Petén Jungle of Guatemala for eight years. Their ministry has been primarily to children and youth. They have also operated a successful feeding program in the rural Jobompiche. In May Craig is taking a step of faith by organizing a meeting for pastors in the region. He believes the Lord is leading him to have more influence by offering training to those who are in ministry and by helping to prepare future leaders. Craig will be joined by FCF pastor Mark Moder from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mark has much experience with leadership training and cross-cultural ministry. We are sending Mark on this mission. I am asking you to hold up this meeting in your prayers. Our FCF family in Europe will hold their annual Leadership Summit on May 18-21. I ask that you also remember this meeting in your prayers as pastors from all over Europe will attend. I am always aware that fervent effectual prayer is needed most for the success of any mission endeavor. Your partnership in this area is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity. Enjoy the spring season! Bob Buse International Director
