December Partner Report PDF Print E-mail

Dear FCF Partners,

People often ask me if I like to travel. My answer is always the same. “No, I don’t like to travel, but I love to be sent.” What a difference! Being sent is to have a specific assignment, a divine appointment on the other side wherever that may be.

I just returned from a “sending” to Hermosillo, Mexico, where we conducted a three-day mission conference at Redimidos Inglesia (Redeemed Church). This congregation of nearly 3,000 persons represents great resources and opportunities to reach Mexico, Latin America, and the world. My assignment was to motivate, mobilize and release these people resources from the church into the world. We had an amazing time!

The church is ready to launch house groups throughout the city. We prayed for dozens of people who will open their homes and many more who will lead these groups. I also met with those who have a heart for cross-cultural ministry in other parts of the world. I believe our mission was accomplished.

While you are reading this, Rev. Ron Bruce is serving our FCF family in Nepal and India. Together we sent Ron to minister at Leadership Summits in both places. Ron has been a consistent “sent one” in our family and a great blessing wherever he has been. Our thanks to every person who made themselves available to be sent this year.

As partners we helped to send more than 30 FCF ministers to conduct leadership meeting in more than 20 countries. We also made available opportunities for several short-term mission teams to be a blessing in another culture.

In 2010 FCF is providing twelve different short-term mission opportunities to our churches. For trip details, click here. An additional opportunity is offered to anyone who desires to join a work team traveling to Jamaica, West Indies. This team will be completing construction at the New Beginnings Training Center. The trip is being planned for March 22-29, 2010. The cost per person (not including airfare) is $1,300. This amount includes room and board, transportation, and a building materials donation.

Another opportunity for short-term, cross-culture ministry that we are offering is on the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico, USA. Teams can expect to work on the renovation of a 24,000 sq. ft. former school that is now being used as a community and training center for Christian pastors and community leaders in the Navajo Nation. The cost for team members is only $400. This is an excellent opportunity, especially for a church’s youth group. To be part of either of these teams or for more information, please contact me (bobb@fcf.org) or Claudia Gonzalez (claudiag@fcf.org) at the International Office in Tulsa.

Overall 2009 has been a very fruitful year in FCF International world outreach. Many people had had a part in fulfilling our strategy of going into all the world. Many, many more have been blessed on the receiving end. It’s all about reaching the world for Jesus Christ. You are a valuable partner, helping us to accomplish that goal. Thank you!

Next month you can expect to hear reports from the two FCF Leadership Summits in Asia and from Pastor Garfield Deans’ recent trip to Cuba where he ministered to thousands of young people at a national gathering of Christian youth.

The entire staff of FCF International prays that you would enjoy the great celebration of our Savior’s birth and have great expectations in God for 2010.

Bob Buse

International Director
