Fulfillment is a by-product of following your passion. FCF is passionate about reaching the world for Jesus. That’s why we have always cultivated a sending culture throughout our family. Right now we are in the midst of a sending season, and it’s exciting. You are helping us send people on divine assignments and to divine appointments around the world.

Our particular passion in FCF Int’l is helping ministers of the Gospel to fulfill their vision and call. I have just returned from South America where we ministered to ministers in Chile and Peru during a two-week period. Many wonderful things happened in these meetings. One of the most encouraging signs I see in both countries is momentum in church planting. We laid hands on several couples who have recently started or are preparing to start new churches. New church plants almost always signal life and fruitfulness in an organization. I was joined in Peru by my wife, Gail, and Pastor Scott and Claudia Ross (Massachusetts). We ministered for four days on the Gospel and grace. The Lord demonstrated both in a powerful way during the services.

Together we also helped to sponsor ministers’ meetings in the Dominican Republic in late August. Pastor Randy Hansen (North Carolina) spoke at two FCF churches in the capital city of Santo Domingo and was joined by Pastor Ernie and Kathy Beers (Delaware) and Pastors Chris and Bonnie Peebles (Delaware) for ministry in the northern town of Monte Cristi. More than 100 ministers attended and received teaching on the ministry of the Holy Spirit. As in Peru, many people received the baptism with the Holy Spirit, an essential for any ministry we do for people.

Pastor Garfield Deans (Jamaica) has just returned from a ministry tour in Africa where we sent him to Kenya, Zimbabwe, and South Africa for FCF conferences. Garfield was joined by Mike Young (South Africa) in Ruiru, Kenya, for our second national conference in Kenya.  Pastor Daniel Muiruri traveled many hours to attend. Here are a few lines from his report:

“I am happy to inform you that we had a very wonderful blessed conference in Ruiru. We were deeply and greatly blessed by our lovely, anointed brothers.  I thank God that I was able to attend the conference for my life and ministry will never remain the same again because of impartation I received from these dear, powerful, anointed man of God. They truly blessed us in the word, and we thank God for the privilege and opportunity we had to attend the conference. In Eldoret and Kitale we had 14 people who attended the conference and a brother from Nakruru whom I invited to attend the conference. We had such a wonderful time in the word and in fellowship with one another. I thank God for the Faith Christian Fellowship family and that we belong to this lovely wonderful family. “

Last week we also completed conferences in the West African countries of Ghana and Togo. You helped us to send Pastor Barry Cunningham (Ireland) and Pastor Jay Mast (Delaware) to do these meetings. Many times the significance of a ministers’ meeting is the opportunity to correct religious tradition and erroneous teaching. These wrong ideas are beyond typical cultural differences and limit spiritual leaders and churches. This is one reason that we send capable and seasoned ministry gifts in our family to impart at these meetings. This was our first conference in Togo and our fourth in Ghana. Our influence is increasing.

Finally let me share a good report from the three short-term teams that were sent from USA FCF churches in August.

River of Life Christian Center in Baltimore, Maryland, sent a team of women to the La Limonada district of Guatemala City. This is one of the most dangerous and deprived areas of the city. The ladies went from house to house sharing Christ and praying for people. They also worked with two established Christian schools in the district.

Liberty Christian Family Church in Mattoon, Illinois, sent a team to work with Pastor Virginia Velasquez and the Nehemiah Foundation in Santa Ana, El Salvador. The team was led by the children’s pastor Lisa Walk and used clown ministry to reach children.

Jubilee Bible Church from Ottumwa, Iowa, also sent a team, led by Pastor Randy Saylor, to Nehemiah Foundation. They also used clowning skills to minister to children and participated in a city-wide youth event. For the churches from Illinois and Iowa this was their first mission team. Each of the teams reported the dramatic impact the experience had on the lives of those who were sent and those they were sent to. Look for more opportunities for short-term mission trips in 2010.

Please know that it is your prayers and financial support that allow us to continue to send our most valuable resource, people, to the world. Every person who meets Jesus Christ, receives the baptism with the Holy Spirit, or any other blessing that God’s grace provides is placed on your account laid up in heaven. Rejoice and remain blessed!
