2008 Accomplishments PDF Print E-mail

FCF President and Founder Pat Harrison began her “This is That” meetings, directed by God, to introduce this generation to the person and work of the Holy Spirit.

National Director Lonnie Hilton visited 30 churches and spent 119 days traveling and ministering in the U.S. and in other nations. He touched and encouraged many pastors and congregations.

In 2008, USA FCF churches experienced the following:
3,261 people getting saved
1,033 people being filled with the Holy Spirit
71% of the churches had numerical growth

The USA FCF churches reported that they experienced major breakthroughs in the following areas during 2008: outreach, remodeling, new facility, and leadership maturity.

The USA FCF churches also reported that their greatest strengths are teaching, prayer, commitment, praise and worship, and relationships.

FCF issued 51 new credentials to ministers living in the United States, which makes for a total of 832 USA credentialed ministers.

International Director Bob Buse traveled to 10 countries and 20 states, spending 30 weeks out of the office. By going and teaching, he strengthened ministers, congregations, and relationships around the world.

We sent the Mentor Pack, a teaching tool, to approximately 800 ministers worldwide each month.

We sent monthly updates on our international outreaches to those who faithfully support the FCF vision of sending ministers into all the world.

Boat

One of the projects that FCF set out to complete was the restoration of the boat for our family in the island nation of Vanuatu.

The Vanuatu government asked our FCF associate work to participate in a “fishing project” that involves fish collection services in the northern part of the country. The funds generated by participating in this project have helped to complete the boat restoration and will be a continual source of income for the ministry. As the boat performs the fish collection, it also transports church workers and missionaries from island to island. This ministry tool assists in reaching previously unreached tribal groups with the Gospel.

In February, International Director Bob Buse spent three weeks visiting our FCF family in Asia: ministering to ministers in the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Singapore. Asian Regional Director Terry Phillips traveled with Bob for much of the trip. While in Guwahati, India, they connected with an apostle of God from Nepal. Brother Deu Limbu pastors a church in Katmandu and has planted 44 works in the remote areas of the Himalayas. After hearing the vision of FCF International, he asked if he could connect with our family for the spiritual covering. We are pleased to have him as a partner in the Gospel.

In March, Pastor Daniel Maxwell, our Relational Representative in Ghana, West Africa, visited neighboring Togo. In the city of Atakwame, he met with fourteen pastors who desired to be connected with our family. Daniel met with another ten pastors in Lome, the capital of Togo, who desired association. All these attended our annual FCF International Ministers Gathering in Accra, Ghana, in September.

In April, the FCF family sent Gail Buse, wife of International Director Bob Buse, to Germany, Hungary, and Serbia to share the Word among our FCF family. She and Matthias Schmoecker (European Regional Director) spoke in several churches and to the church leadership in Budapest, Hungary. They also traveled to our FCF church in Senta, Serbia, which was started by Eva and Istvan Nagy seven years ago. The Nagys are true apostles who have started numerous churches throughout Hungary and neighboring Serbia.

In May, Pat Harrison (President and Founder), Gary DeVoe (Media Director), and Bob Buse (International Director) conducted a three-day meeting in May In Hermosillo, Mexico. Pat shared the Word and ministered in the Holy Ghost. Gary and Bob spoke to 30 ministers who are ordained with FCF Int’l. Pastor Jonatan and Lizeth Meza lead our associate church, Redimidos, in Hermosillo. About 2,500 people attend each Sunday. Redimidos is reaching many more through television and radio. They have an enormous potential to impact Mexico and Latin America.

In June, we purchased a Bible school curriculum for FCF Missionary and Pastor Abel Aureli in Italy. Abel has been evangelizing and planting churches in Italy for years. This curriculum, which is in Italian, is helping him to develop leadership for new churches.

In July, FCF Pastor Jim Winslow and his wife, Janet, led a team of youth from Living Word Family Church in Nowata, Oklahoma, to the Petén Jungle in Guatemala. They served side-by-side with FCF missionaries Craig and Peggy Harvey, helping in their feeding program and teaching Bible classes to children and youth. One young man from the team reported, “Guatemala changed my life forever! I didn't want to leave. I know everyone who goes on a missions trip says their lives were changed and they are going to change their ways when they get home, but seriously, I really feel that way!”

In September, FCF Pastors Mike Mendoza (Texas) and Scott Ross (Massachusetts) ministered in Tarma, Peru, addressing more than 100 pastors at our first conference there. Pastor Ross reported that the pastors came from all backgrounds, denominational and nondenominational. Some had spent 18 hours traveling to the meeting. They came hungry for God’s Word, soaked up what they heard, and begged for more.

The month of September was one of the busiest and most fruitful times for FCF’s international outreach. Bob Buse spent several weeks in Africa, ministering in South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. At every meeting he conducted in Africa, the usual comments were, “We are hearing things we have never heard before and receiving things that we could not get anywhere else” and “We don’t know of any other organization that emphasizes family and relationships as FCF does.”

In October, FCF Europe held its Family Church Conference October 7-10. Pastors Gareth and Tracy Jenkins of Reading, England, had this to say: “We were particularly encouraged by all the kind words and the prophetic words spoken over us at our ordination. We received such an impartation of anointing. Most important for us was that where we previously felt pretty lonely since taking over the church, now we have covenant connections with a number of other ministers. We look forward to both receiving and giving support to our colleagues in the ministry.”

In November, our Asian Regional Director Terry Phillips was in Nepal and taught in the Bible school founded by our FCF pastor Brother Daniel. Terry reported the following: “I had a wonderful time teaching seventeen eager students who are preparing for ministry. At least half of them will be involved in church planting, many in areas of unreached and unchurched people groups.”
